A concave bagua mirror is used in the feng shui applications when the negative energy outside your home needs to be neutralized by being absorbed. Basically, a concave design of a mirror will “suck in” the negative feng shui energy and neutralize it.

A convex bagua mirror is used when you want to reflect right back the negative feng shui energy (Sha Chi) pointing at your home (be it front door or any windows). This is the least desired feng shui use of a bagua mirror, because it just promotes the endless bouncing of negative energy. Not good feng shui!

The first feng shui rule of using the bagua mirror is that it should never, ever be used indoors.

The second feng shui rule of using the bagua mirror is that you use it only if there is bad feng shui energy – Sha Chi or Si Chi – facing your home or business. The feng shui bagua mirror is not a decor feng shui item and should not be used as such.

If you do find yourself in a position that requires subtle protection of your home or office from potentially dangerous Sha Chi feng shui energies, (sharp or attacking structures pointing at your home), or bad energy coming from your neighbours, you may choose to use the bagua mirror.
Best to place the feng shui bagua mirror when advised by a professional feng shui consultant.
Traditionally, the feng shui bagua mirror is placed above the front door or above a big window that is facing questionable outside energies.
Using outdoors: Please hang your bagua mirror as much as possible on a protected place, to protect it agains weather influences.

 

The Ba Gua is considered as one of the highest spiritual symbols. You could call the triagrams tools for life- the harmonious alignment around the mirror refers to the beginning, Nirvana and to the Absolute.
As is the beginning, so is the end.
In China, the Ba Gua Mirror is traditionally used to protect the home from negative energies.
