Creation

During the millions of years, the layers of volcanic ash  were exposed to high temperatures and pressures and this created thephysical and chemical change which made a diverse group of zeolites, including the mineral clinoptilolite. Clinoptilolite is being mainstreamed into a large zeolite group called heulandite.

Usage

Zeolite – clinoptilolite was first used in 50s of last century when the properties of this natural mineral were first examined. Our company ZEOCEM, a.s. Bystré owns mining rights to the quarry of mineral clinoptilolite which is in a large group of zeolites. The quarry site is located in Nižný Hrabovec in east of Slovakia. The richness and purity of this location places this mine to the world’s best. The method of mining in the quarry fully corresponds to modern requirements and secures the most possible a friendly approach to the nature.
